Back in 2005 (or was it 2006?) a fellow film school classmate, Gary Lachance, knew this band, Horse The Band. One weekend we (Gary, Mark, Smitty and I) drove down to Seattle, where the band was recording, and filmed this video. We kind of just came up with the idea, with the Band, while we were there and filmed when we could between the band's recording sessions.
As far as roles on the project, Gary was pretty much the connection with the Band, and also the mastermind behind it all. We all contributed creatively and technically during the shoot, but he made it all happen. I did most of the "Visual Effects" if you can call them that...
Everyday family man, Ian Baker, comes home to an empty house. He finds out through the messages on his answering machine that his family has been kidnapped by terrorists and somehow he is at the center of a matter of National Security. While trying to figure out how to get his family back as well as entertain his father in law - Ian soon finds himself in a tricky balancing act!
This was a Crazy 8's finalist for 2008.
This is a demo reel of the projects I have worked on in the past few years. The people I collaborate with are a small group and we often wear many hats on a production. Of the material contained in the demo, I played one or more of the following roles: Director, Producer, Writer, Editor, 1st Assistant Director, Post Production Supervisor.
